Full-Stack Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA (Remote-First) Type: Full-Time Level: Senior

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Pumpfiat, you’ll lead architecture decisions, own major features end-to-end, and shape the technical direction of our platform that powers compliant outreach at massive scale.

About the Role

You’ll work across the entire stack — from database schema and API design to frontend components and user experience. This is a high-impact role where your decisions will directly influence performance, security, scalability, and how thousands of growth teams interact with our product.

This is a remote-first role with a preference for candidates able to overlap with Pacific Time (San Francisco hub).

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement major features across frontend (React/Tailwind) and backend (Node.js/Python).
• Lead technical design reviews and make decisions on stack, tooling, and infrastructure.
• Build performant, secure, and maintainable systems that handle millions of records daily.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive performance optimizations, monitoring, and incident response.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Deep expertise in modern JavaScript/React and a backend language (Node.js or Python preferred).
• Proven track record of leading architecture and shipping complex features end-to-end.
• Strong experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), APIs (REST/GraphQL), and cloud infrastructure.
• Comfortable with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, monitoring, alerting).
• Excellent communication and ability to drive technical decisions across teams.
• Passion for building products that balance speed, scale, and compliance.

Nice to Have

• Experience in data-heavy or compliance-focused environments (GDPR, CCPA).
• Previous work in marketing tech, SaaS, or growth tools.
• Contributions to open-source or a strong technical blog/portfolio.
